Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data RankRescuer (“RankRescuer”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use rankrescuer.com, how we use it, and how you can delete it. If you have questions, contact us.

What RankRescuer does

RankRescuer is a monitoring tool for website owners. You connect your Google Search Console account, and we show your sites’ search performance in one dashboard, explain changes in traffic, and send you a short list of things to fix.

Data we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address and Google account ID when you sign in with Google.
  • Google Search Console data, only after you choose to connect it (see the next section).
  • Billing information: if you buy a paid plan, payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your plan, payment status and the last four digits of your card. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Usage and technical data: basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) used for security, abuse prevention and fixing errors.
  • Website analytics: we count visits to rankrescuer.com with Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool we host ourselves. It uses no cookies and does not track you across other websites.
  • Messages you send us, such as support emails.

Google Search Console data

When you click “Connect Google Search Console”, Google asks you to grant RankRescuer read-only access (the webmasters.readonly permission). With that access we read:

  • The list of Search Console properties (sites) your Google account can access.
  • Search performance data for the sites you choose to monitor: clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position, broken down by date, page, search query, device and country.
  • Index status for specific pages (URL Inspection) and your submitted sitemaps.

We cannot change anything in your Search Console account or on your websites. We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive or any other Google service.

How we use your data

  • To show your dashboard, charts and site cards.
  • To detect changes in your search traffic, identify likely causes, and create your fix list.
  • To send you the emails you ask for, such as weekly summaries and alerts.
  • To run your account, process payments and provide support.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use Google user data to train AI or machine-learning models.

RankRescuer’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Who we share data with

We share data only with service providers that help us run RankRescuer, and only what each one needs:

  • Cloudflare: website delivery, security and bot protection.
  • Resend: sending account and report emails.
  • Stripe: payment processing.
  • Moz:we send only your site’s domain name to look up its public Domain Authority score. No Search Console data is sent.
  • Anthropic (optional AI summaries):if you turn on AI-written summaries, summarized metrics for your sites are sent to Anthropic’s API only to write your summary. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.

We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and service.

How we store and protect data

  • Data is stored on servers we control, accessed only over encrypted connections.
  • Google access tokens are encrypted at rest and are never logged.
  • Only you can see the Search Console data for your account.

How long we keep data

  • Search Console data is kept for up to 16 months, the same window Google provides, while your account is connected. Older data is deleted automatically.
  • If you disconnect Google Search Console, we revoke our access and delete the stored Search Console data for that connection within 30 days.
  • If you delete your account, we delete your account data and Search Console data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (such as invoices).

Your choices and rights

  • Disconnect Google Search Console at any time from your account settings.
  • You can also remove RankRescuer’s access from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  • Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any email.
  • Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it through our contact form.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies: one to keep you signed in, and Cloudflare cookies used for security and bot protection. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

RankRescuer is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If we make important changes, we will update the date above and notify account holders by email before the changes take effect.
