Getting started
What is RankRescuer?
RankRescuer watches Google Search Console for all your websites in one place. Every day it compares each site with the week before, explains drops in plain English, checks your sites for technical problems, and turns what it finds into a short fix list.
Do I need a Google account to sign up?
No. You can sign up with Google or with any email address and a password. To see your data, you then connect a Google account that has access to your sites in Search Console.
Which sites can I add?
Any site you can see in Google Search Console, as a Domain property or a URL-prefix property. When a Domain property already covers a URL-prefix property, we hide the duplicate so the same site isn't counted twice.
How long until I see my data?
We start pulling up to 16 months of history as soon as you connect Search Console, usually within a few minutes. Diagnosis, tasks and technical checks fill in after the next daily update.
Your data and privacy
Can RankRescuer change anything in my Search Console or on my sites?
No. We ask Google for read-only access. We can view your Search Console data, but we can't change settings, submit anything or touch your website.
Do you sell or share my data?
No. Your data is used only to run your dashboard, tasks and emails. No ads and no reselling.
How do I delete my data?
Disconnect your Google account from the dashboard and we revoke our access and delete the stored Search Console data for it. To delete your whole account, contact us and we'll remove it within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as invoices.
Data and checks
How often is my data updated?
Once a day, in the morning (US Eastern time). Google finalizes Search Console data a couple of days late, so the newest days always come from Google's latest finished data.
Why don't my numbers match Search Console exactly?
Small differences are normal. We use Google's finalized data only, compare full 7-day weeks, and count a Domain property once instead of each of its URL-prefix versions. Make sure you compare the same dates and the same property.
How does uptime monitoring work?
We load each watched site's homepage every 5 minutes from several locations. A site only counts as down when a second check confirms it, so a single network hiccup doesn't send a false alarm. You get an email when it goes down and another when it's back. You can switch it off for any site.
What do the technical checks look at?
Every day we check that your homepage loads, that it can be indexed, your robots.txt, your sitemap, your SSL certificate's expiry date, whether you have an llms.txt file for AI tools, and your busiest pages from the past week.
Why does a check say our checker was blocked?
Some firewalls and bot protection, such as Cloudflare's, show a challenge to automated visitors. Your visitors and Google aren't affected, but we can't read the page. To let us through, allow the user agent RankRescuerBot in your firewall, or in Cloudflare turn off Bot Fight Mode or add a rule that skips the challenge for that user agent.
What is Domain Authority?
Domain Authority is a 1 to 100 score from Moz that predicts how well a site can rank, based mostly on the links pointing to it. We show it with Page Authority for your homepage and the number of websites linking to you, updated once a month on paid plans.
Emails
Which emails will I get?
A weekly summary on the day you choose, problem alerts the same day we spot something serious, and uptime alerts within minutes when a site goes down. You can turn each one off in Settings, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
Can I change the time zone of my emails and dashboard?
Yes. We use your browser's time zone automatically, and you can pick a different one in Settings.
Plans and billing
What does the free plan include?
Two watched sites with drop diagnosis, uptime monitoring, daily technical checks, tasks and emails. Paid plans add more sites and monthly Domain Authority from Moz. No card is needed for the free plan.
What counts toward my plan's site limit?
Only the sites you watch. You can connect as many Search Console properties as you like and pause any of them; paused sites are free and keep their history.
Can I change plans or cancel anytime?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade or cancel from the Billing page at any time. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. If a smaller plan has room for fewer sites, we pause the extra sites with the least traffic; nothing is deleted.
How does yearly billing work?
Yearly plans cost the same as 10 months, so you get 2 months free. Prices are in US dollars and payments are handled securely by Stripe.
